How did Koarlie Studios Come about?

Introducing teeny Kaity
It all started many moons ago when a young, only child ~ Kaity, adored animals.. and fully believed if she wished hard enough she's become the next Dr Dolittle. I finally met my "little brother" and bestie, Six - rescue Cavalier X
I discovered Photography
My Dad had a SLR and my Pop had flim cameras. Oh yes, I begged my parents and saved up for one of the pink Olympus digital cameras! You best bet I took photos of everryyything! When in high school, I was the maths science kid who fell in love with art. I saved up all my paychecks and bought my first entry level pro camera - here, KaityMae Photos was born!
Love for Animal Rescue

Throughout my middle and high school, all I ever wanted to do was work with animals. I partook in cleaning and holiday programs to learn about animals. Gratefully, we moved to a small down where their local animal rescue was happy to take me on as a volunteer as a young teen - where I was awarded Community Volunteer of the Year for the Southern Downs Regional Council.

Introducing Charlie

Through Animal and Wildlife Rescue, I met my new best bud, Charlie. Lil guy "fell out" of he nest and was abandoned. Local people called in for help a few days later. We worked on his rehab, where he then became my best mate.

The Foster who changed my life!

For years, we had a mini zoo of pocket pets and birds - the dream home as an only child. We started foster caring throughout the years of animal rescue... but one case stopped us in our tracks.
3 of the most emaciated, lethargic, and flea and cactus spine filled puppies were found. The two girls had some oumph in them, the boy was a big concern.
A very long rehab, this lil guy found his bounce again and became the happiest little puppy - so full of life!
Introducing KODY!
As any foster carer would, you do everything to find his furever home. Unforunately, 10 months later from a mismatched adoption, a very scared, timid and reactive pupper came back into our care.
He's never been out of my sight since.

Running Photography Workshops and Social Media
I co-ran an online community, sharing and supporting local photography artists, nature walks, small business and local points of interest. I regularly held meet ups where we'd go to cool places to take photos and be supportive and mentoring to anyone whom may have questions.
5 Years on Stage!
My plans of medical science took a turn for my own health reasons.. but I found myself in a couple of jobs I never ever imagined!
I started freelancing my photography and working with models and in childrens botique studio photography.
Later lead me to land the ultimate job of a life time!! I worked my way to becoming the lead performer and presenter at the theme parks! I worked along since Marine Mammal trainers in their educational presentations, functions, and also getting to be loud and fun dancing and singing on stage and major special events.
Focusing on Doggos
For the love of doggos, am I right!! hehe
I began working at a Dog Training and Enrichment Centre where my skills around animal care bloomed and helped shape who I am today! In these wonderful 5 years, I expanded neiche towards Behavioural Science and learnt more about setting dogs up for success and understanding how they think. This sparked my love towards Puppy Raising and understanding their foundations and teaching puppy school and Obedience Classes.
Along side this, I completed my Certificate III in Canine Training and Behaviour where I then worked with more high level Reactivity Cases. Doggos with behavioural quirks will always have a special place in my heart as Kody went through a very intense reactivty stage. KSPP will always have the priority to be a space where all doggos can feel safe!
Back to Rescue

A change of pace in life saw us getting ready for a massive change! This stepping ground saw the opportunity to go back to my roots in animal rescue, helping to care and provide enrichment for doggos and kitties getting ready to find their furever families.

Koarlie Studios was offically born!

Koarlie was a concept I had held on tight to since 2018!
I had freelanced under this name for several years when shooting events and lifestyle photography.. but this name was always destined to be our rainbow studio!
Koarlie means ~ Kody Charlie!
So here we are today! Forever learning, creating and making magic!
Thank you so much for being here on this beautiful journey
