Honestly, most dogs don't!
In all truth - I've spent lots of time working on my dog, Kody's obedience and in various environments... but If something is way more exciting than me... our general listening skills and ability to hold a sit can go out the window.
We keep realistic goals in the studio .. and please I embrace the chaos! The goofier the better!!!! I'm likely to hype them up to be a little psycho anyway!
"My dog is really reactive or anxious"
That's okay! I'm a certified behavioural dog trainer with plenty of experience with pups from all walks of life. Just let me know what their quirks are and where you're at with your training and management so I can help best set you both up for success.
Our studio is set up like a home environment so it feels more like "going to a friends house" rather than somewhere new and intimidating. We will take as long as your pup needs to feel comfortable and we offer complimentary previsits to build familarity and a relationship prior to the big day!
"But they haven't had a groom lately! They're all scruffy?"
That's a part of their character! I'm sure they're not perfectly trimmed at every moment!? The scuffy moments are special and unique to them - especially when they're a puppy!!
